• 1)      reservation life of the First California Indian Reservation from eyes of Native Indian living there;
• 2)       tales of the Fort Tejon Dragoons;
• 3)       story of Beale and other Superintendents of Indian Affairs and reservation agents.
• 4)      Stories of local settlers and miners
• 5)      Environmental impact of mining activities
• 6)      Impact of earthquake throughout the region
• 7)      Environmental humanities issues of current communities sitting right on top of the San Andreas fault.
• 8)      Environmental humanities perspective on collections of John Xantus and current flora/fauna status of region, especially on the Condor’s status.
• 9)      Stories on the travel by ship from San Francisco to San Pedro to Fort Tejon via the Los Angeles-Stockton Road, and the dangers of the trip
• 10)  Stories of the Stagecoach route and Post Office delivery routes
• 11)  Displacement of native animals and plant life by settlers’ imported animal and plants
• 12)  Native American healing plants
• 13)  Stories of the various economic enterprises of the mountain areas.
• 14)  Stories of the forest rangers
